Have you met Jesus?

If you have not as yet accepted Jesus Christ as your savior I have some things you need to know.

1. In accepting Jesus and His salvation you also receive His forgiveness for your sins. Since God cannot accept sin, sinners are His enemy. When your sins are forgiven, you will find yourself in a new relationship with God and no longer His enemy but His friend. Now He can bless you in so many ways He couldn’t before.

2. You will find a new and better strength to deal with the pressures and difficulties of this life. You are no longer fighting a battle in an adverse world by yourself, but God is there to help you along the way. Does this mean everything with be a bed of roses? Heck no!  But you will find that it’s much easier, and the outcomes will be much better for you in the long run, because now you are more in Gods plan then before when you were striving against Him.

3. With Jesus there is now HOPE for the future. Now you don’t have to be afraid of tomorrow. Now God is in control and with Him all things work together for the good. His world is a world where death is not the end but prelude to a life that you have never known without Him. If you’ve stuck with me this far, I assume that you are interested in knowing just what you need to do to be saved. First you need to understand that the reason God can forgive your sins is because Jesus Christ was willing to die for them on the cross.  It is His death in dying for you that makes it possible for you to become Gods friend and receive His salvation. Let me show you the Plan of Salvation with a few verses from the Bible.

All Have Sinned Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious ideal... Romans 3:23 There is a Penalty for Sin For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 6:23

You Cannot Save Yourself He saved us--not because we were good enough to be saved but because of his kindness and pity--by washing away our sins and giving us the new joy of the indwelling Holy Spirit...  Titus 3:5

Salvation has Been Provided For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

O.K. that’s the basics.  If you’d like to know more you can visit with us on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. You can also contact us thru our contact page or request prayer to help you make a decision. Or if you feel in your heart right now that you want to be God’s friend, you can say this prayer and be sure He will hear you:

Dear Jesus, thank You for loving me so much that You died for me.  I am sorry for my sins and ask you to forgive me. Please come into my life and help me to live for you.  Amen.
